"Star Egypt" commissioned its new modern sewing thread factory in El Obour city with a modern dye-house with its capacity of more than 20 tons per shift using state –of-art machines from Thies, Germany.
In order to efficiently manage the growing business and offer excellent services to its customers, "Star Egypt" invested and built a new factory in EL Obour City Industrial Zone with 55,000 square meter of space.
The manufacturing operation was moved to a new premise in the industrial zone, out of Cairo city area started from 1000 square meters of building, which was finally expanded to 4500 square meter building area. The dye-house was set up with fully automated Thies package dyeing machines using Setex Controllers, Dettin extractors and Stalam Radio frequency dryer. Dyeing and quality testing laboratories were set up with world class testing equipments from Data Color, Uster etc., to control and improve the quality of our products and offer excellent service to our customers. The company was grown multi-fold and started to market wide range of threads in staple spun polyester, trilobal polyester (also called as embroidery polyester), textured polyester, corespun threads and viscose rayon. The company established 702 shades in staple spun polyester and 324 shades in viscose rayon in stock range.
Mr. Hassan Mohamed from the third generation of the family took over the company and established Star as a brand and renamed the company as "EL Sakr EL Masry Company". The factory located in Cairo city area was housed in 600m2 building area and the main product was cotton threads of Ne 40/3 for home and tailor uses. The cotton thread was actually dyed in manual vats in almost 70 colors.
Started yarn and thread production to produce mainly natural silk as a small family business called "Good Tex"
